Humility is a big part of my program these days. I am by nature very prideful and I know it is holding
Me back. I read the words of Andrew Muuray that Dr. Bob had on his
Desk every day:
Humility
“It is to have no trouble. It is never to be fretted, Ike vexed,
Irritable, or sore. To wonder at nothing that is done to me.
It is to be at rest when nobody praise me. When I am blamed or
Dispossessed, it is to have a blessed home in myself where
I can go in and shut the door, and pray to my father in
Secret and be at peace…
As in a deep sea of calmness…
When all around me is seeming trouble.”
Oh God, how I yearn for such serenity!
Love to all
MaryAnne:)
I needed to hear that. Thank you.
You’re so welcome, Sheryl! You can google Dr. Bob’ s “prayer” and
Have one on your desk too! I noticed your name on another posting.
Have you been to a meeting yet? The dearest friends you’ll ever have
Are waiting there for you.
Love
MaryAnne:)
No I haven’t been to a meeting because I am a chicken.
I will go and thank you
Hi Sheryl
How are you?
Peace
MaryAnne
Sheryl hello how are u doing?!!!!!
It’s a balancing act for me. If I go to AA meetings too much then I lose my balance. On the other hand, not hitting enough meetings isn’t good for me either.
Tim u pray and u will start feeling better.!!!!!
Ok, I’ll do just that.
How are u doing today Tim?!!!!!!!!
