Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity”Do we now believe, or are we even willing to believe, that there is a Power greater than our self?” As soon as we can say that we do believe, or are willing to believe, we emphatically assure our selves that we are on our way.

In writing this seems very simple.But I have found that I must believe and pronounce my God daily . Some days multiple times.
Well I know for me I had trouble with the whole god thing for a long time, then someone shared to me look at it like this: god can stand for Good Orderly Direction. So yeah, something greater than me is easier to understand and follow the group for advice when I’m having a hard time and I put my faith in that at first.
1st step identifies the problem. 2ond step is the solution. 3 to 12 are clues on how to get the 2ond step. A power greater than ourselves, since we are human, something greater than a human being is our only salvation. Either God is or isn’t.
This program is a blessing! I am now working the steps, it is a good understanding and if you do not work the program then you end up back out on the streets. I love my Higher Power and am thankful for all He is doing for me.
